“Today, [June 22nd,] we went to a day camp for six to nine year-olds and played games and had lunch with them. The BBA students stepped up and led games in French-like pros and immediately made a lot of new little friends,” wrote Madame Emery in the journal entries which she wrote throughout the course of her trip.
A few of the many sights that the nine fortunate students had the opportunity to see were the Eiffel Tower, the Consiergerie museum, and the Louvre. They even got to go up into the the Eiffel Tower at midnight when it sparkled!
Now imagine this: you could be one of these students! Every other year, this trip is available to any students who have finished up to French 3. The years in between, you could visit Quebec City, and you don’t even need to know French! (Although it would definitely help.)
Burr and Burton student, Sophia Guglietta participated in the trip and she stated that, “[She] got a great sense of the french culture on the trip. It was definitely an experience [She] will never forget, and it’s definitely worth signing up for ”

Hi! Thanks for this great article! We did indeed have a fabulous time in France, and before that, Quebec. The trip to Quebec is not in the summer though, it is in March, so that we can go dog-sledding, snow-tubing, and snowshoeing! It is a shorter, less expensive trip than France. See me for more info!
